"We should be positive about what we've achieved," said the defender.
"There was a lot of negativity around the club when I came here.
"But since then we have been bringing in good players and changing a lot of things.
"You have to consider the amount of money we can spend and that last year was a really difficult season for us. This has been much better. We are a small club still and try and build season by season.
"You look at the amount of money other teams are spending and think about how difficult it is for a club like us.
"Look at the team we played against here and just how much they've spent."
