Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Mario Jardel will be in the squad for tonight's game with Tranmere Rovers but has revealed that he is ready to part company with the Brazilian should he receive a suitable offer for the player who is only six months into a two-year contract.

The former Golden Boot winner has fallen further down the pecking order at Bolton due to the signing of Javi Moreno from Atletico Madrid last week and Allardyce has stated he has enough competition in the forward areas to cope without Jardel who was linked to a whole host of clubs since the turn of the year.

"He is in the squad for the Tranmere game." he told the Bolton Evening News

"We have not had any offers and we would listen to offers if they were right.

"There is now strong competition at the front end of the team with Kevin Davies playing out of his skin, Henrik, Javi Moreno coming in and Kevin Nolan scoring goals.
