Ricketts takes on senior role

Bolton defender Sam Ricketts accepts he is now one of Wales' most senior internationals - but still does not feel like it. The 28-year-old now has 40 caps for his country and is the most experienced member of their squad for this week's Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria. Captain Craig Bellamy does have more caps but he is missing injured while Rob Earnshaw and Danny Gabbidon also pulled out of the squad. The former Swansea and Hull player, who made his international debut against Hungary in the 2004/05 season, said: "I don't feel like it but I look at bits of paper and see that I am one of the senior lads. "That is the difference, I still feel young. I have not been part of the set-up long and have worked my way through the leagues in the last five or six years."
