Bolton Wanderers defender Simon Charlton is set to be included in tommorow night's squad for the Carling Cup Semi Final First Leg tie with Aston Villa at the Reebok Stadium having made a speedy recovery from a hamstring injury.

The 32-year old was taken off during Bolton's 4-3 win over Blackburn Rovers ten days ago and there where fears that the former Southampton and Birmingham City man could be missing for up to three weeks but his inclusion amongst the substitutes during Saturday's win over Portsmouth has put him in contention for the clash tommorow.

However Anthony Barness could be set to retain his place in the starting eleven having performed well during the match against Pompey for what was only his second Premiership start of the season.
