This week Bolton have been linked with a move for Boavista defender Khalifa Cisse.
The 25 year-old is wanted by Bolton boss Sam Allardyce, who is considering making an offer for the Orleans-born Frenchman.
Meanwhile, Wanderers have also expressed an interest in West Ham captain Nigel Reo-Coker.
The Hammers are believed to have rejected bids in the region of £6.5million for their young captain from both Arsenal and Manchester United towards the end of the last transfer window.
However, after a string of poor displays from the former Wimbledon man this season, new boss Alan Curbishley may be prepared to let him go for as little as £5million.
In other transfer news, Bolton are reportedly interested in 28-year-old Egyptian playmaker Mohamed Abotrika of Egyptian Champions Al-Ahly.
