Australian youngster Scott Jamieson is to begin a stint at the Bolton Wanderers youth academy having successfully completed winter trials at the Reebok Stadium.

The 16-year old has been playing regular football for the Blacktown Demons U20 team in New South Wales but is now hopeful of making the big step overseas with Bolton.

"It's always been a dream of mine to play in the English Premier League, it's been something I've always wanted to do. I'm just happy to be going over there." said Jamieson

Jamieson hopes that he can impress sufficiently during his spell at the Academy and force his way into the Wanderers first team set up in a similar way to the likes of Kevin Nolan and Nicky Hunt.

"I hope to get a professional contract after three years and eventually break into the first team for Bolton Wanderers" he added

The teenager had been attending the Westfields Sports High School which was also a port of call for Liverpool's Harry Kewell, Les Pogliacomi of Oldham Athletic, Barnsley midfielder Jacob Burns and ex-Leeds man Shane Cansdell Sherrif.
