Bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers leaped over the Trotters in the FA Premier Reserve League with a 4-2 win over their fellow Wanderers at Molineux where a brace from Colin Cameron and goals from Shaun Newton and a Silas penalty gave the Midlands side the points.

Former Charlton Athletic winger Shaun Newton opened the scoring driving a fine finish past Donovan Ricketts in the Bolton goal after some fine link up play with striker Steffen Iversen.

On 27 minutes the home side doubled their advantage when Scottish international Colin Cameron fired an unstoppable 20-yard drive past Ricketts after finding himself in acres of space to make the scoreline 2-0.

Bolton reduced the defacit shortly before the break when defender Charlie Comyn-Platt fired the ball past Wolves goalkeeper Michael Oakes after a clever knock down by fellow defender Steve Howey.

However there was still time for another goal before the interval, Cameron scored his second of the night from the penalty spot after midfielder Ibrahim Ba had handled a corner from Wolves midfielder Sammy Clingan.

The second half saw less goals but more controversy and in the 65th minute Bolton's evening got gradually worse. Portuguese midfielder Silas burst into the penalty area for Wolves and was fouled by defender Anthony Barness. The referee penalised Barness and the resulting spot kick was despatched by Silas.

Spanish striker Javi Moreno pulled another goal back for Bolton from the spot shortly before the end after Wolves defender Isaac Okronkwo had brought the on loan player down in the area. Moreno then fired the ball past Oakes in the Wolves goal but it was too little too late and Bolton go back to the bottom of the FA Premier Reserve League.
