Reserves To Take On The Toffees

Bolton Wanderers reserves are in action tonight as they take on Everton in the FA Premier Reserve League (North) kick off 7pm.

The game is at Haig Avenue which is the home of Southport Football Club and Reserve team boss Neil McDonald will be hoping to gain victory against one of his former clubs to try and give Wanderers second string some hope of avoiding relegation.

International quartet Javi Moreno, Ibrahim Ba, Dwight Pezzarossi and Donovan Ricketts are the experienced names in the Bolton squad this evening as they look to bounce back from defeat against arch rivals Manchester United last Thursday.

Republic of Ireland youth player Joey O'Brien keeps his place in the midfield after a string of fine performances whilst Ndiwa Lord-Kangana gets another run out following his return from a loan spell with Lancashire rivals Rochdale.

Earlier on in the season the Toffees comfortably defeated their North West rivals with a 4-1 win at the County Ground in what was to be the start of a bad season for what has been a predominantly youthful reserve team.

Everton reserve boss Andy Holden is able to include Scotland international defender David Weir for the local derby with Wanderers whilst fellow defender Peter Clarke returns to the Toffees line up for his first game since a loan spell with Coventry City. England U19 midfielder Scott Brown plays in the midfield and former Tranmere Rovers player Steve Simonsen starts in goal.
