Bolton Wanderers will play their second FA Premier Reserve League game of the new season tonight as they take on Middlesbrough at The Reebok Stadium.

Experienced first teamers such as Per Frandsen, Simon Charlton, Gareth Farrelly, Delroy Facey and ex-Boro keeper Kevin Poole will get run outs for the second string tonight as they look to overcome their opening game mauling by Everton.

Jermaine Johnson will also get a chance to shine after complications over a loan move to Yeovil Town has meant the Jamaican international will stay put at the Reebok Stadium for the time being. Welsh U21 international Rhys Powell will also get his first game in Bolton colours following his summer signing from Leicester City.

Portuguese youngster Ricardo Vaz Te has been rewarded for his impressive goalscoring run in the U19 side and he takes a place amongst the Bolton substitutes alongside fellow Academy players Jason Talbot, Ricky Shakes and Reece Jones.

Boro include former Wanderers Michael Ricketts and Allan Johnston in their line up. Whilst Boro reserve coach Mark Proctor also includes the experienced Alan Wright who arrived in the summer from Aston Villa and former Manchester United youngster Mark Wilson.
