Reserves Take On Rovers

Last updated : 16 November 2004 By Mark Heys
The reserves will be hoping to put last weeks defeat to Newcastle United behind them as they take on Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers this evening.

Newcastle had ended the Wanderers unbeaten run which stretched back to early September, so coach Neil McDonald will be hoping that the defeat against the Magpies will not have had too much of an effect on his players.

Ivan Campo will get a chance to build up his fitness in this game whilst there is also places for experienced pair Kevin Poole and Julio Cesar.

A year ago when Bolton faced Blackburn in this reserve team fixture the two sides contested a 1-1 draw at Christie Park, Morecambe. Mario Jardel netted for the Trotters in what was to be the first of two local derbies that week.

Full team news to appear later.
