Reserves take on City

Bolton Wanderers Reserve Team Manager Neil McDonald has named a youthful line up as Wanderers take to the road in their first away reserve game of the new season when they face local rivals Manchester City at The Tameside Stadium in Hyde tonight.

31-year old left back Simon Charlton is the only experienced name in the Wanderers Reserve Team line up, whilst fringe players Jermaine Johnson, Jeff Smith and Jonathan Walters all get run outs.

Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz Te is once again named amongst the Bolton substitutes having impressed once more for the U19 side over the weekend, hitting a hat trick in a 7-2 mauling of Derby County.

City include a strong and experienced line up with Steve McManaman and Claudio Reyna making their first competetive starts for the Blues. Experienced quartet Paulo Wanchope, Nicky Weaver, Gerard Wiekens and former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler also play.
