Bolton Wanderers reserves will play their first game of the year tonight as they take on Sunderland reserves at the Archibals Stadium in Durham.

Previous FA Premier Reserve league matches against Birmingham City and Liverpool had to be postponed last month due to the bad weather which has meant the players at reserve level have not had a game since mid-December.

In tonights game Bolton give a debut to Guatemalan international striker Dwight Pezzarossi whilst midfielder Derek Niven makes his first appearances for the Trotters since returning from a loan spell with Chesterfield. Coach Neil McDonald has named an inexperienced line up but Ricky Shakes, Charlie Comyn-Platt and Ricardo Vaz-Te all made their first team bows earlier in the season.

The Mackems name some experienced faces in their squad with the likes of Darren Williams, Paul Thirlwell, Michael Reddy, Tommy Smith set to be involved. The on-loan Wolves midfielder Kevin Cooper is also named in the squad.
