Reserves Tackle The Reds Tonight

Last updated : 25 October 2004 By Mark Heys
Bolton Wanderers reserves will be hoping that last week's postponement against Sunderland will not disrupt their recent upturn in form too much as they take on Liverpool this evening.

The game will actually be played in Wales and will take place at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground. Wanderers coach Neil McDonald names Florent Laville in his side whilst there is also a return to Bolton action for teenage defenders Charlie Comyn-Platt and Jason Talbot following their recent loan spells away from the club. Goalkeeper Andy Oakes is injured due to an ankle injury picked up in training.

Liverpool name a relatively inexperienced team although Paul Harrison, John Welsh and Patrice Luzi have all been involved with the first team squad this year.

In last seasons corresponding fixture and the final reserve match of 2003 Bolton were soundly beaten as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners at the Deva Stadium, Chester. Wing back Ricky Shakes managed to net the Trotters consolation
