Bolton Wanderers reserves play their final game of the year this evening as they take on local rivals Manchester City in the next phase of the Manchester Senior Cup competition.

The two teams come head to head for the second time in a month having served up a 2-2 draw in the FA Premier Reserve League at the end of November.

Wanderers reserve coach Neil McDonald will be hoping that his team can keep up their excellent record in this season's competition having previously defeated Preston North End, Oldham Athletic and Bury.

Khalilou Fadiga will play his first game in over two months following a recent heart scare and there are also places for experienced pair Ivan Campo and Andy Oakes.

Mario Jardel scored twice when these two sides met in this competition back in October 2003. The Trotters went on to win the game against their Manchester opponents by two goals to one.
