Bolton Wanderers reserves are in action tonight as they travel to Central Avenue in Billingham to take on a mid-table Middlesbrough reserve side.

Long term injury victims Ricardo Gardner and Florent Laville have been pencilled in to make a competitive comeback following knee surgery but it is expected that they will feature in the final reserve game of the season against Liverpool next week as opposed to tonight's encounter.

Wales youth international Rhys Powell is named amongst the Bolton squad as the Cardiff-born sportsman continues his rapid progress following a recent injury. Youth Academy duo Dale Whitehead and Michael Gillan are also included in the Wanderers team for their trip to the North East.

Boro include many of the 2004 FA Youth Cup winning squad which overcame Aston Villa at the Riverside Stadium on Monday night. Former Bury loanee Phil Gulliver starts the game for the Teesiders.
