Reserves Face United In Cup Action

Bolton Wanderers Reserves travel to Altrincham tonight to face arch rivals Manchester United as the club take part in the Manchester Cup for the first time in over 40 years.

The second string will play a number of games in the competition against their North West rivals after a revamp has lead to Wanderers entering the competition for the first time since the 1960's.

Glen Little, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury will get a chance to start against the Red Devils in a bid to stake his claim for a first team place following his loan move from Lancashire rivals Burnley earlier in the month.

Charlie Comyn-Platt, a late substitute in last night's first team win over Walsall in the Carling Cup also starts as do fellow fringe players Jonathan Walters and Jermaine Johnson.
