Reserves Face The Toffees

Bolton Wanderers reserves will be hoping to put two cup defeats behind them as they face Everton in the FA Premier Reserve League game at the County Ground.

Defeats in both the Manchester Senior Cup and Lancashire Cup have tarnished what has been a good season for the second string and they will hopefully put things back on track against the Toffees this evening.

Last season Everton cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Wanderers in the opening reserve game of the 2003-2004 season. Wigan born midfielder Leon Osman helped himself to a hat trick that night despite Bolton having taken an early lead through Scottish midfielder Derek Niven.

Bolton reserve boss Neil McDonald welcomes back Andy Oakes in goal after the on loan custodian missed the last two games through injury. Blessing Kaku, Florent Laville and Ricardo Vaz-Te also feature. Surprisingly there are places for Henrik Pedersen and Khalilou Fadiga, both of whom represented the first team at Blackburn last night.

BOLTON RESERVES: Andy Oakes, Ricky Shakes, Jason Talbot, Florent Laville, Charlie Comyn-Platt, Dale Whitehead, Blessing Kaku, Khalilou Fadiga, Ricardo Vaz Te, Bedi Buval, Henrik Pedersen
