Reserves Face The Black Cats Tonight

Bolton Wanderers reserves will be hoping to build on last week's impressive win over Nottingham Forest as they take on struggling Sunderland tonight at the County Ground in Leyland.

The visiting Mackems have won just once all season - a 4-0 success which came in an away fixture against Everton a fortnight ago, so they will be hoping for similar luck on their return trip to the North West.

Wanderers coach Neil McDonald is expected to name a similar side to the one which defeated Forest last week so that will mean another start for Portuguese youngster Ricardo Vaz-Te.

Sunderland could once again include Danny Collins, a recent signing from Chester City. Youngster Luke Ball could also get another chance to impress following a decent debut against West Bromwich Albion reserves last time out.

In this fixture a year ago goals from Mario Jardel and Charlie Comyn Platt gave the Wanderers a 2-1 advantage over the North East side. Sunderland hit back with an excellent consolation goal by their midfielder Alan Quinn who was on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
