Bolton Wanderers reserves take on their Liverpool counterparts tonight at the County Ground in Leyland for their final match of the season and both Ricardo Gardner and Florent Laville have been given the go-ahead to play some part in the match against the Reds following long lay offs with knee ligament damage.

If the pair come through the game successfully they could even be considered for first team action before the end of the season and that will be a massive boost for the Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce who initially felt that the duo could be sidelined until next season but thanks to the expertise of surgeon Dr Richard Steadman and the Bolton medical team they have made a quick return to the first team fold.

Bolton reserve boss Neil McDonald is relying heavily on youth for the game against the Reds with no fewer than eleven Academy graduates involved, veteran keeper Kevin Poole, former French international Ibrahim Ba join both Laville and Gardner as the experienced names in the Trotters team.

Liverpool include Jon Otsemobor who was on loan with Bolton earlier on in the season making just one appearance before returning to Anfield. Reported Bolton target Djimi Traore is also included in the Reds starting eleven as is French duo Anthony Le Tallec and Florent Sinama-Pongolle, both of which have faced Wanderers at first team level earlier this campaign.
