Reserves Clash Called Off

Tonights FA Premier Reserve League clash between Bolton Wanderers and Liverpool has been postponed due to the poor condition of the County Ground pitch.

A pitch inspection was made early this morning and the fact that there has been heavy snowfall in the area overnight has meant the inevitable happening. The pitch was frozen and the conditions would have been unsafe for the players.

It is the second time that the two teams have had to reschedule the fixture which was originally due to be played on Monday but the Reds involvement in the FA Cup and Bolton's involvement in the Carling Cup meant a compromise of Wednesday was reached but unfortunately the weather has put paid to the game.

The postponement of this game means that Wanderers second string have yet to play a game this year having seen last week's clash with Birmingham City called off for the same reason.
