The tie will now take place on Wednesday 14th April at Haig Avenue, Southport with a 7pm kick off time with Wanderers keen to avenge their opening reserve match of the season when the Merseysiders ran out 4-1 winners.
With the previous two games against Birmingham City and Liverpool postponed due to bad weather it will now mean the second string will have to wait till the middle of next month to play their first match of 2004.
