Bolton Wanderers reserves drew their final FA Premier Reserve League away fixture last night when they fought out a goalless draw with Middlesbrough reserves at Central Avenue in Billingham.

The Wanderers side consisted mainly of Academy players but the likes of Donovan Ricketts, Ibrahim Ba, Dwight Pezzarossi, Ricky Shakes, Ricardo Vaz-Te and Charlie Comyn-Platt have all been involved with the first team squad at some point this season.

Boro included many of their FA Youth Cup winning team which defeated Aston Villa earlier on in the week but the space of two games in three days proved to be a big test for the North East side.

The game itself proved to be a dull affair with few chances, Bolton's Portuguese striker Vaz-Te found himself in a one on one situation with keeper Sam Russell only to fluff his shot at the last moment whilst Jamaican international Ricketts in the Bolton goal had a quiet evening although Boro's Andrew Taylor did come close on one occasion.
