Manchester United Reserves 2 Bolton Wanderers Reserves 0

Bolton Wanderers reserves took a further step nearer to the relegation trap door as arch rivals Manchester United brushed them aside in the contest at Moss Lane on Thursday Evening.

It leaves Wanderers with only three games left to play in the FA Premier Reserve League, with two away ties against Everton and Middlesbrough and a home tie against Liverpool to come before the end of April.

More worrying for Neil McDonald's young side is the fact they have failed to hit the net in their previous three games despite having internationals Dwight Pezzarossi and Javi Moreno leading the line. Brazilian striker Mario Jardel is the reserves top goalscorer having scored on seven occasions, maybe he should be called back from Ancona - if you can find him that is.
