Bolton Wanderers Reserves crashed to their fourth successive FA Premier Reserve League defeat as Aston Villa where the 3-1 victors at the County Ground thanks to a hat trick from striker Luke Moore.

Wanderers included a strong line up with the likes of Henrik Pedersen, Per Frandsen, Simon Charlton and Kevin Poole all turning out for the second string but it wasn't enough to give Neil McDonald's side their first win of the Reserve Team season.

Ibrahim Ba and Mario Jardel also got a full 90 minutes but despite showing some neat touches it wasn't enough to inspire the team to victory.

Bolton took the lead on 11 minutes when Villa defender Ryan Amoo had upended Henrik Pedersen in the box following a smart run by the Dane and Jonathan Walters, fresh from his loan spell with Crewe Alexandra was on hand to slot home the resulting penalty.

Villa found themselves on level terms 11 minutes later, also from the spot. Wanderers defender Ndiwa Lord-Kangana was adjudged to have fouled Villa midfielder Liam Ridgewell in the area and Luke Moore despatched the resulting spot kick despite Kevin Poole's best attempts to keep the shot out.

Moore added a second on 58 minutes when he was on hand to steer the ball past ex-Villa keeper Poole following a cross by Stephen Cooke and then completed his hat trick ten minutes from time to increase Villa's lead at the top having gained 13 points whilst Wanderers still look for that ilusive first win.
