Zambian Looks To England

Zambian international striker Collins Mbesuma, 21, is understood to be in England trying to agree a deal with a Premiership side.

The South African club, Kaizer Chiefs, confirmed on their official website that their top marksman was "going to the United Kingdom for a medical" and Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers are leading the chase for the African forward.

Mbesuma, nicknamed 'The Hurricane', was The Premier Soccer League's top scorer, bagging 25 goals in just 30 league games and could continue Bolton boss Sam Allardyce's trend of bringing relative unknowns to the club who turn out to be very astute signings.

Developments are expected as the week progresses although some delicate negotiations are required to pull off any deal, particularly as the acquisition of a work permit may prove to be an obstacle.
