Wright-Phillips Tells Critics To Lay Off Bolton

Manchester City's in-form midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips has urged the media to stop knocking Bolton Wanderers for their style of play.

The 23-year old believes that the Trotters have played some entertaining football over the course of the season and says that Sam Allardyce's side are only playing to their strengths like any other team do.

"People shouldn't criticise Bolton too much. All teams play to their strengths, and they have been to places this season and come back with points where others have failed. They are a credit to their manager Sam Allardyce."

"But they will find we are an adaptable side, and whatever they throw at us we will be able to handle it." he told the Manchester Evening News

This year has been an excellent year for SWP, he broke into the England side earlier on in the season and his performances for the Citezens have been nothing short of top drawer.

His younger brother Bradley has also been involved in the first team set up in recent weeks and could be pushing for a place on the substitutes bench tommorow.
