Paul Warhurst has spoken out about his decision to leave Bolton Wanderers for a second time stating that he wanted a long term deal despite being offered a contract by the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce which according to the player was only short term.

Warhurst left the club after four years over the summer only to be invited back two weeks ago but after much thought he has decided to look elswhere for regular first team football at a lower level.

"Sam Allardyce did offer me a short term deal, but in truth i was hoping for something longer, which is why i decided to turn down Bolton's offer and look elswhere" he wrote on his official site

"I was grateful to Bolton for allowing me the chance to train with them again and in an ideal world I would of liked to have stayed longer, but i really wanted a longer contract than they where prepared to offer. The training went very well and I feel fantastic so im optimistic of sorting myself out with a new club within the next week or so"

"It's now down to me to make a final decision of where my future lies. My extended summer break has dragged on for long enough and im now ready to commit myself to a new challenge"
