Wanderers Youngster in Burnley Trial

According to Clarets Mad, Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Livesey has been on trial with Burnley for the past week and it is thought that a loan move may be in the pipeline.

Livesey 18, made his debut for the Wanderers last season when coming on for the injured Anthony Barness in the 3-2 defeat by Liverpool in September 2002 and despite showing some early promise at the start of last season he has since been sent down the pecking order by the re-emergence of Nicky Hunt.

He is still on the fringes of the Bolton first team and is highly thought of at the Reebok Stadium but a potential move to the Clarets albeit temporarily may give him the experience he needs to make the step up to Premiership football.

The Salford-born defender was thought to be amonst four trialists of whom the Burnley boss Stan Ternant was running the rule over but it is unlikely Sam Allardyce will let the youngster leave the Reebok on a permenant basis.
