Cesar, 29, is out of contract at Deportivo La Coruna this summer, and after rejecting a new deal to stay at the Riazor, it is believed the Trotters have offered him the chance to play in The Premiership.

And after spending twelve years in La Liga, the player admits he is keen on a move to England, with a final decision expected to be made by the end of the weekend.

"I am very interested in playing in England because they have a league with huge quality," said Cesar.

"I have always had an interest in their football and I remember the matches I have played in their stadiums with Depor."

Meanwhile, Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is eyeing Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

The People says Allardyce is ready to offer £2 million for the Scotland international.

Fletcher could be forced further down the pecking order at Old Trafford should manager Sir Alex Ferguson succeed in bringing in two new midfield signings this summer.

In other news, Bolton are ready to pull out of the chase for Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann with Manchester City poised to snatch the player.
