Sam Allardyce has refused to rule out a move for the French World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit.

The experienced midfielder was said to have rejected a move to the Reebok Stadium due to the terms which were being offered but the Bolton boss Allardyce admitted he is still interested in recruiting the 33-year old who left Chelsea at the end of last season.

"We'll always be interested in a player of Petit's pedigree. Until he either hangs up his boots or fixes himself up with another club I'll be keen to get him on board." Allardyce told the Bolton Official Website.
