The 24-year old has been in fine form for the Spanish club this season and has previously attracted the attention of European giants Manchester United and Real Madrid.
In other news Southampton are said to be facing a battle to sign Senegal ace Henri Camara. The forward is currently on loan at the South Coast club from Wolverhampton Wanderers but it has been suggested that Bolton will renew their interest in the 2002 World Cup star despite having two bids rejected last summer.
Any bids for the two players will have to wait until the summer as the winter transfer window has now closed.
