Bolton Wanderers have faced a triple blow for this weekend's clash with Charlton Athletic at the Reebok Stadium with both Bruno N'Gotty and former Charlton player Anthony Barness ruled out with hamstring injuries sustained in the midweek defeat at Portsmouth, also the club has confirmed a move for Sunderland's Emerson Thome has taken a "backwards step" and the club are struggling to complete a deal before Sunday's deadline.

Speaking of the injury problems Bolton manager Sam Allardyce confirmed.

"Bruno and Barney will be out for Saturday's game"

"Bruno had to play in midfield at Portsmouth because we had used all our subs. Hopefully they will recover during the international break and be ready for our next game against Middlesbrough" he added

Jamaican winger Ricardo Gardner had to play right-back at Fratton Park on Tuesday night following Barness injury with Simon Charlton coming on to play at left back. The injury to N'Gotty means a reshuffle and Spaniard Ivan Campo could drop back into the defence from central midfield. Allardyce has added 18-year old defender Danny Livesey to his squad for the match against Alan Curbishley's team.
