Wanderers dealt double injury blow

Warhurst, who was supposed to be named in the squad for Monday nights Premiership clash with Sunderland, has suffered a recurrence of his groin problem and may not now return to action until December.

And, skipper Bergsson was ruled out of the 1-1 draw with The Black Cats with a torn calf and is now facing a longer spell on the sidelines than first expected.

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce confirmed: "Paul has a groin injury and will probably be out for four weeks.

"It looks the same for Gudni with his torn calf muscle."
