Stuttgart are leading the chase for Manchester City youngster Vladimir Weiss.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been squeezed out at Eastlands by a host of big-name signings and looks set to move on.

Slovakia international Weiss, under contract with City until 2012, had a loan spell at Bolton last season but could be heading for the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic said: 'We are in talks and we would like to sign Vladimir Weiss,' he said.

'The player would like to come over, but there are other clubs also interested in his services.

'We have yet to agree a move as the other clubs involved have other ideas.'
