United Linked With Jaaskelainen Move

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is being linked with a move to arch rivals Manchester United according to a report in today's Daily Mirror newspaper.

The tabloid claims that the Wanderers keeper will be sold for around £4 million to free up funds for manager Sam Allardyce in January's transfer window. It has been the second time that the Reds have been linked with the Finnish international but reported interest at the end of the 2001-2002 season came to nothing.

Jaaskelainen has established himself as a top goalkeeper during Bolton's three years in the Premiership and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be on the lookout for a new custodian to replace the American Tim Howard.

Whether these reports are to be believed is another matter.
