Trotters Coaches Are In Demand

Bolton's highly-rated assistant manager Phil Brown is being lined up as the potential new manager of Derby County, according to reports emerging from the Midlands earlier today.

Brown has built himself a solid reputation as the right hand man to Sam Allardyce over the past few years and has previously expressed a desire to go into management.

The 46-year old was overlooked for the Burnley job last summer but is now beleived to be joining Yeovil's Gary Johnson and Italy legend Walter Zenga on the list of people whom the Rams Director of Football Murdo McKay would like to have as a replacement for departing boss George Burley.

Furthermore Neil McDonald, the First Team Coach at the Wanderers, is also beleived to be in demand with Crystal Palace casting an interest over his recent work at the Reebok Stadium.

Any approach for the two coaches is sure to be met with a firm snub as Sam Allardyce will want to keep his tried and tested staff together for Bolton's first ever European campaign.
