Trio In International Action

Bolton Wanderers had three players on international duty last night as Stelios Giannakopoulos, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Donovan Ricketts where called into action for their respective countries.

Jamaican international keeper Ricketts, who joined Wanderers earlier in the season on a loan deal from Village United was involved in the Reggae Boyz 2-2 draw against Honduras whilst fellow goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen played the second half of Finland's 2-1 win over Malta.

Midfielder Giannakopoulos played for 46 minutes of Greece's 1-0 victory over Crete whilst a former Wanderers player Alan Thompson lasted an hour of England's 1-0 friendly defeat to Sweden before being replaced by Jermaine Jenas.
