Colin Todd - back in management?
Former England defender Colin Todd is set to be named as the new manager of relegated Nationwide Division One club Bradford City after the ex-Manchester United captain Bryan Robson declined the chance to take charge of the Bantams next season.

One time Bolton manager Todd moved to Valley Parade as Robson's right hand man last November following a lengthy spell out of the game and it seems as though he is the natural choice to become the next manager of the Yorkshire club.

Todd has held talks with City's cheif executive Julian Rhodes with an appointment said to be imminent. Veteran players David Wetherall and Wayne Jacobs are also candidates for the post having been in charge on a caretaker basis following the departure of previous manager Nicky Law last season.

During his time with the Wanderers Todd guided the club to the First Division Championship of 1997 with a record 98 points total but despite some big name signings such as Neil Cox, Robbie Elliott, Mark Fish and Peter Beardsley was unable to keep the club in the top flight. In 1999 he resigned from the club following a disagreement with the board following the sale of midfielder Per Frandsen to Blackburn Rovers and later took on the managerial reigns at Swindon Town and Derby County.
