Israelian international Yossi Benayoun has played down reports that he is about to leave Racing Santander to join an English Premier League club.

The 24-year old has been linked with January moves to both Bolton Wanderers and Liverpool in recent weeks but despite this speculation the midfielder says that he is currently content at the La Liga club.

"I have another three years on my contract with Santander, and for now i'm there" Benayoun told the Israeli newspaper Hara'atz.

Wanderers chief scout Jack Chapman has reportedly checked on the former Maccabi Haifa player a number of times over the last few months but Benayoun is refusing to be drawn into the reports.

"I hear all sorts of talk about teams that want me but, until something is finalised I am doing everything with love at Santander. From my point of view it's an excellent club, very big, and it's fun for me to be there."

Bolton already have Beyanoun's international team mate Tal Ben-Haim on their payroll and this could be a positive factor when trying to lure the goalscoring midfield ace to the Reebok Stadium.
