Sunday speculation links Wanderers to duo

The rumour mill has again linked Wanderers to more players as Sam Allardyce steps up his search for new recruits ahead of the new season.

Panathinakos goalkeeper Stefanos Kotsolis is being tipped to either move to the Reebok Stadium or join Harry Redknapp's revolution down at Portsmouth with talks over a loan deal said to be in the pipeline. However with Pompey signing Dutch keeper Harald Wapenaar over the summer plus Wanderers extending the contract of understudy Kevin Poole it looks highly likely that interest from either side would be purely to sign a back up player and the Greek player would want to be first choice.

Meanwhile former French international Ibrahim Ba has joined Bolton on trial. The midfielder was released by AC Milan at the end of last season and is hoping to move to the Wanderers on a one year deal to join up with former team mates Bruno N'Gotty and Youri Djorkaeff. The 30-year old former Le Harve and Bordeaux player found chances at the San Siro increasingly limited in recent seasons and will be looking to kick start his career with the Trotters. Meanwhile Czech defender Rene Bolf has left the Reebok Stadium outfit following a week long trial. The 29-year old defender will rejoin up with current club Banik Ostrava next week.
