Anelka told Sunday's issue of French sports daily L'Equipe, "My wish is to return to the Premier League and it could materialise soon,"

"I have an agreement with Bolton on the basis of a four-year contract," he added. "I hope everything will be finalised early next week."

Meanwhile, Bolton striker Kevin Davies was pleased with the three points picked up against Spurs on Saturday, "It was great to get the first win of the season in the first game.

"We had a fine home record last season and want that scenario to continue.

"So it was important to get off the mark quickly as we want to push on for a place in Europe.

"We have lost two or three players but the squad here believe in each other.

"I know the manager (Sam Allardyce) is working hard to try to bring in a few extra players."
