Tottenham Hotspur defender Dean Richards has warned his team mates be wary of the threat posed by Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies ahead of the weekend clash between the two sides at White Hart Lane tommorow.

Richards, a teammate of Davies during their days together at Southampton has said that the former Saints striker, who arrived at the Reebok Stadium on a Free Transfer over the summer, is very much underestimated and will cause the London side problems if he is not contained. He also claimed the 26-year old went through a lack of confidence on the South Coast but now feels that Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has brought out the confidence again.

"Kev's quick, strong and always had bags of ability. He's a very good player and very underestimated. I think at times when I was with him at Southampton he just lost that self-confidence now and again. He now has a manager who believes in him and he's playing well again. He's always had the ability and confidence was the key thing. He's playing every week so he's fit, sharp and he'll be a danger."
