The 35-year old has been an ever present for the Trotters in the Premiership since arriving from Newcastle United in the summer and despite his many years in the game Speed says that he is still learning new things under the guidance of Allardyce.
"I've played under some great managers and he is up there with them. Since I've been here my eyes have been opened on how things are run and how he does certain things."
