Speed Named In Welsh Party

Gary Speed has been named in the Wales squad for the World Cup qualifiers against England and Poland next month.

The Bolton midfielder has been in fine form for both club and country since his move from Newcastle United and was on target for the Welsh during their international match with Azerbaijan a few weeks ago.

Red Dragons coach Mark Hughes is expected to allow the experienced midfielder to resume his role as captain.
