Bolton Wanderers midfielder Gary Speed will win his 80th cap for Wales tonight as they take on Latvia in a friendly in Riga.

The experienced former Leeds United, Everton and Newcastle United man Speed will captain the side as Red Dragons coach Mark Hughes looks to find the right formula for the Welsh as they gear up for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign in a group that will include home nations England and Northern Ireland.

Hughes will be without former Wanderer Nathan Blake after the striker picked up an injury whilst playing for his club Leicester City over the weekend. Blake is one of six to be omitted from the squad through injury.

The game will be shown live on SKY Sports at 5pm.
