Khalilou Fadiga is adament that he will suffer no further heart problems whilst at Bolton Wanderers.

The 29-year old had a second operation on his irregular heartbeat two weeks ago after collapsing in the warm up prior to the Trotters game with Tottenham Hotspur.

"I have the assurance from now on of not dying a sudden death, The only thing that can kill me is old age or a car crash.

Fadiga wants to play on and is not going to let the recent Spurs incident deter him. He also confirmed that his manager Sam Allardyce is keen for him to continue playing providing that he gets a clean bill of health in the coming months.

"My boss Sam Allardyce told me 'As soon as the doctor gives the guarantee that all is fine, you'll be back on the pitch'. I've never thought of stopping my career. Why freak out? Why play with the thought 'I can die. I mustn't run too quickly?'

"That's not worth while. You might as well stop if that's the case. I have belief in my lucky star. I've never wished harm on anyone, so why should all this happen to me?"
