Wanderers assistant manager Phil Brown went to watch the Bolton defender Tal Ben-Haim in action for his country in midweek during the World Cup qualifier against Cyprus and whilst there he was said to be very impressed with the performance of Racing Santander forward Yossi Benayoun who managed to get on the scoresheet.
Benayoun has been out of favour recently with his Spanish club and a move to England is said to appeal to the 24-year old striker who has previously interested both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
