England striker Bothroyd is out of contract at the end of this month and has already announced his intention to move to the Premier League.

According to reports, he will meet with Hoops boss Neil Warnock when he returns from holiday later this week, while Everton are another possible destination for the former Wolves forward.

Warnock is also reported to be interested in Magpies striker Ranger, who looks likely to leave St James' Park this summer.

The 20-year-old is keen to remain in the Premier League, having made 24 top-flight appearances last season, albeit generally as a second-half substitute.

Bolton are also keen on Ranger, who looks likely to move on for a ?1million fee.

Warnock has already failed with moves for Wales striker Steve Morison and new Swansea signing Danny Graham, but is determined to add to his strikeforce before the players return to pre-season training.
