Rivals Take An Interest In Allardyce

City Want Sam?
According to numerous reports in the media this morning, Manchester City have made Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce their top target should current boss Kevin Keegan decide to walk away or be sacked.

Allardyce has impressed many people during his time with Wanderers with the ability to attract big names on small budgets and his man management skills are often praised by fellow managers and players alike. The Bolton boss has taken the unfashionably branded Trotters to the top half of the Premiership table as well as a place in the Carling Cup Final to look forward to.

City will be looking to halt their disasterous slide towards the relegation zone with Keegan knowing that the results for the Citezens must improve quickly if they are to gain any credibility for this season. It is said that those at the top have been unimpressed with recent results and the fact that City have spent big with little in return.

Bolton however are likely to shun any approach by their local rivals just as they did with the likes of West Ham United and Aston Villa. Allardyce is on a 10-year contract with the club that he began with as a player in 1969 and gave two separate spells with so will be keen to keep on rebuilding what has become a very useful Wanderers side.
