Jamaican International goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts is all set to complete the formalities of his move from Village United to Bolton Wanderers when the transfer window opens on Thursday and the 26-year old is excited at the prospect of playing in the Premiership.

"To play in the English Premiership will be a dream come true for me. I am delighted to be joining such a great and exciting team full of international players. I have been training with the club for over a month and I have learned a great deal in that short time. The move will enhance my experience and benefit my international career" Ricketts said.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is pleased to be able to add the tall goalkeeper to his ranks and expects the Jamaican to provide stiff competition for the senior goalkeepers who are already at the club.

"I am pleased that we will complete the signing of Donovan Ricketts. His ability and experience will add depth to our squad. As a goalkeeper Donovan has great natural talent, he has the size and co-ordination to do well here. I look forward to him contributing to the success of the team" Allardyce told the clubs official site.

The two clubs agreed a six month loan deal with a further option to buy the player in the summer should he impress during his time at the Reebok Stadium.
