Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is pleased to be able to add the tall goalkeeper to his ranks and expects the Jamaican to provide stiff competition for the senior goalkeepers who are already at the club.

As a goalkeeper Donovan has great natural talent, he has the size and co-ordination to do well here. The two clubs agreed a six month loan deal with a further option to buy the player in the summer should he impress during his time at the Reebok Stadium.
